Hi, welcome to my professional webpage.
Professional Experience
With over 15 years of experience bridging advanced research and production-grade software, I lead teams that transform complex algorithms into reliable, scalable solutions. My career began in Computer Vision, where I specialized in photometric 3D reconstruction before applying Image Processing to Digital Health challenges.
Today, as Head of the Software Development Department (SED) at Inria Paris Centre, my focus is on establishing Software Development best practices for research software. I drive the adoption of MLOps principles, Kubernetes, and Cloud Technologies to ensure our AI research is not only innovative but also deployable and maintainable. This commitment to robust infrastructure is validated by my Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
I am passionate about building the foundational tools and platforms that empower the next generation of AI applications.
I just wondered how things were put together. — Claude Shannon
Education
I successfully complete a Ph.D in Computer Science at the University Of Grenoble in 2011. The subject of my Ph.D thesis was around Computer Vision and it explored how to exploit the photometric information available in large photo collections of outdoor scenes in order to infer characteristics of the illumination, the objects and the cameras.
Before that, I got a master cum-laude degree and bachelor degree in Electrical
Engineering at the
Pontificia Universidad
Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.
